CTAA Artist of the Month

For the First Quarter of 2010:

In January 2010, the members voted to develop an "Artist of the Month" program, with the winning entry voted upon at each monthly meeting - and the winner featured in the local area newspapers, as a way of bringing attention to art in the area.

February 2010 "Artist of the Month"
   Jack Milchanowski

   Jack's computer-enhanced digital photographic image of a
windmill at sunset was created using one of his photos and
the Corel Painter software program. Hours of computer
"hand painting" with a stylus, makes it virtually impossible
to detect his work from an original watercolor painting done
   with actual water and paint.

Jack serves as Treasurer of the CTAA and specializes in
American wildlife photography and other stock photography.

Jack can be reached by email at milchanowski@sbcglobal.net.
His work can be seen on his Members Art Page, as well as on
   his website:  www.jemfoto.com.

March 2010 "Artist of the Month"
   Ginger Walker

Ginger's colored pencil drawing "Granny's Apples"
shows the unique detail that can be achieved with
the medium of colored pencils.  Her depiction of
granny smith apples on a country quilt look good
   enough to eat!

Ginger has been a member of CTAA since 2009,
and can be reached via email at
   gl.walker@sbcglobal.net.
