CTAA Artist of the Month

For the 2nd Quarter 2010:




   April 2010 "Artist of the Month"
   Jan Reid

   Jan works primarily in acrylic, creating wonderful paintings
   of sights and scenes she finds meaningful.  She also creates
   three-dimensional paintings and sculpted crosses that
   capture her faith and beliefs.

   Jan has been a member of CTAA since 2009, and is Program

   May 2010 "Artist of the Month"
   Stan Briney

   Stan's pen & ink rendition of a mother elephant and her calf
   shows wonderful precision and detail, as does all of his work
   in pen and pencil.

   Stan has been a member of CTAA since 2009, and as well
   known for his wildlife and western bronze sculptures.  His

   June 2010 "Artist of the Month"
   Gale Cochran-Smith

   Gale's watercolor painting "Alone" is of a little boy running
   away from home.  The painting was done for the benefit of
   the Montague County Child Welfare Board and proceeds
   from any print sales will go to benefit the MCCWB.

   Gale has been a member of CTAA since 2009 and currently
   serves as Vice President.  She works as a graphic artist,
   developing websites and advertising material for small local
   companies and individual artists.  Her website is
