The CTAA meets the second Thursday of each month, usually in The Chisholm Trail Room at Ozona Bank in Bowie, Texas (1301 Hwy 59 N) - or at various locations announced in advance on this website and via a monthly email newsletter to our members. A sketching session is held preceding each meeting at 5:30pm (unless indicated otherwise below) for all wishing to participate.   Please bring your own drawing materials.       (NEW FOR 2010:  Both a live model and a still-life object will be made available for each sketching session.) Each meeting typically begins at 7:00pm and is highlighted by a presentation or demonstration from a local area artist who specializes in a particular medium, subject, or style - or someone working in the field of art.  Field trips in lieu of regular meetings are also a possibility, as was our special evening at The Kemp Center in Wichita Falls last year. July 17th & 18th - Artist Workshop: "Limited Palette" conducted by Judy Gelfert      9:30am to 4:30pm both days at the Bowie Ozona Bank's Chisholm Trail Room      $50 deposit/ $150 workshop - LIMITED TO ONLY 15 ARTISTS      (call for more information or to register:  817-269-8274) August 12th - Field trip to The Kemp Center for the Arts, Wichita Falls (1300 Lamar St)      Grand Opening of Larry Lemons' "One Man Show" at the Arts Northlight Gallery (through Sept 23)         Opening Reception - 5:30pm; Call Pat Peery (940-872-1416) for carpooling options September 9th - Blair Currin presides over an Open Critique for both members and non-members alike, beginning at 5:00pm.  Please bring one or two pieces for Bair to critique to the Ozona Bank Chisholm Trail Room in Bowie.  At 7:00pm, Blair will begin his presentation "Methods Used in Judging Juried Art Shows and Critiquing Art."  (A very short regular meeting will follow Blair's presentation.)
