                     "Shared Point of View"

at the "What's Up, Downstairs" Gallery

           March 9th through April 21, 2011

  • YOU MUST BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER in the Chisholm Trail Art Association to exhibit in this show.
  • Deadline:
We must have all artwork delivered to The Kemp Center no later than 9am, Monday, March 7th.
We will have several volunteers drive together to deliver all art work so individual artists do not have to.
We must provide The Kemp Center with an inventory list 4 weeks prior to the show.
The list should contain for each piece: title, year created, media, and price (if for sale).
Each artist will also need to provide their name and contact information, as well as a resume (or bio) and
2-3 photos of representational work.  This may be used for The Kemp's advertising and promotion of
the show (photos should be high-resolution jpeg).
Each artist will also have to sign a contract for work being shown for sale.
Each piece will be required to have an information label attached to it, which will be provided in advance
              by The Kemp Center.
  • Art Work Requirements:
Work must not have been shown previously at The Kemp Center.
Work must have been produced within the past 24 months of the show.
All 2-dimensional art must be framed or have a "finished edge" and have a taut wire for hanging.
(No saw-tooth hangers allowed).  Pieces should be no larger than 20" x 26".
Giclée Prints on paper, Computer Graphic Art, Photographs, and Watercolor should be matted and
              framed, under glass or acrylic.
All 3-dimensional art must be able to stand on its own.  The Kemp Center will provide pedestals.
The Kemp Center reserves the right to reject any piece of work which they feel does not serve the
              mission of The Kemp Center.
  • Show Features:
The Kemp Center will handle all Gallery sales, and Artists will be paid individually for the sale of their work.
The Kemp will take a 20% commission, and will be responsible for paying the sales tax.
The Kemp will provide installation, insurance and all identifying labels - as well as handle promotional
              advertising to publicize the show.
  • End of Show:
Artwork must be picked up on April 25th.  Again, we will arrange for transportation of the art work.
