Metroplex artist and Bowie native Judy Gelfert (née Cantwell) will be giving a 2-day oil painting workshop in Bowie on Saturday and Sunday, July 17th & 18th. The workshop will take place at Ozona Bank's Chisholm Trail Room (1301 Hwy 59 N) from 9:30am to 4:30pm on both days.
Judy paints in a loose, impressionistic style. She has exhibited work on the national level and is represented by the Edmund Craig Gallery in Fort Worth. Inspired mainly by light, Judy chooses subjects that range from landscapes and urban scenes to interiors. In this oil painting workshop for beginners to advanced painters, Judy will concentrate on design, value, and color relationships, working with a limited palette.
