Several of our members have work appearing in galleries and shows throughout Texas.
Roger Schlichenmaier's mesquite sculptures have been accepted by the Rising Stars Art Gallery in Minteral Wells, and will be on display through January 31, 2012.
Gale Cochran-Smith's photographs have been accepted for "The Eyes of Texas" National Photography Competition and Show at the Old Post Office Museum & Art Center in Graham, and will be on display through December 30th.
Stan Briney's bronze sculpture "Fox in Socks" was one of four Dr. Seuss 3-D art pieces selected as winners of (and also purchased by) the Abilene Cultural Affairs Council for their national juried children's Art and Literacy Festival which is ongoing in that city through the end of summer 2012. All four winning pieces will be on public display for varying periods of time at the Abilene Airport as well as other commercial locations throughout the city.

Jan Reid and Gale Cochran-Smith were both accepted for the "20th Annual Breckenridge Fine Arts Center Juried Art Show" at the BFAC in Breckenridge, TX. The work was on display from September 6th through October 6th, 2011. Jan won Honorable Mention at the show.
Jan Reid and Gale Cochran-Smith were both accepted for the juried "Texas Spirit Art Show" at the Old Post Office Museum & Art Center in Graham, TX, where Jan was awarded an Honorable Mention. July 3rd through July 30th, 2011.
Larry Lemons and Don MacLaughlin: Paintings on exhibit throughout the summer at Robisons Gallery, 1501 Midwestern Parkway #116 in Wichita Falls, TX.
Stan Briney: Bronze sculptures on exhibit at Artisans at Rocky Hill Gallery in Fredericksburg; May 6th through June 4th at the Texas Society of Sculptors Juried Show, where one of his pieces won 3rd prize in the show.
Several members of the CTAA entered work in the NCTC "Once Upon a Dream" 45th Annual Community Art Exhibit. Work was on display from April 12th - 14th at NCTC Visual Arts Building. Awards were won by Ginger Walker, Jan Reid, and Gale Cochran-Smith.

Ten members of the CTAA entered work in the NCTC "Edgar Allan Poe Project" at the Center for the Performing Arts in Gainesville, TX. All work was on display in the lobby throughout the month of November 2010. Lee Tisdale, Pat Peery, Jan Reid, Stan Briney, Micah Moore, Deloris Foley, Gale Cochran-Smith, Larry Lemons, Steve Ivy and Treva Tindol all participated.
Nine members of the CTAA entered work in the Mystery Artist Show and Auction at the Kemp Center in Wichita Falls, TX in October 2010 - four pieces went into live auction. Lee Tisdale won Honorable Mention for her oil painting "Egg Gatherer", which set a record price for work sold at over $600. Gale Cochran-Smith won the Best Persona Award for her watercolor painting "We All Scream". Other artists who participated in the event were: Stan Briney, Debbie Malone, Jan Reid, Pat Peery, Larry Lemons, Ralph Stearns and Micah Moore. Paintings were sold in silent auction; the paintings of Lee Tisdale and Larry Lemons were sold in live auction.
